Formula 1 | Christian Horner back in the “public”

After the serious allegations and internal investigations against Red Bull team boss Christian Horner, it is still not clear whether the Brit will continue in Formula 1. In the last few days, the 50-year-old withdrew from the public eye. However, he was spotted on Tuesday – in the Red Bull garage.

As “Sky Sports” reports, Christian Horner was present at the team’s shakedown at Silverstone on Tuesday and did his job as team manager there. It was the Brit’s first “public” appearance since the allegations and investigations against him became known.

On Friday, Horner evaded public view on the way to his internal questioning. Red Bull also moved the meeting from Milton Keynes to London because they feared a large press crowd and unpleasant questions.

Does Red Bull allow questions about Horner’s future?

Red Bull’s new car for the 2024 Formula 1 season will be officially presented on Thursday. According to Sky Sports, it is unlikely that the racing team will comment on the investigations or even announce the results until then.

According to the report, it is still planned for Horner to be on site at the presentation. However, it is not clear whether he will then answer questions from the press about the explosive topic. The most likely scenario is that Red Bull will play down any questions by referring to the ongoing investigations.

Formula 1 test drives start next week

As of today, it is also completely unclear whether Horner will be sitting in the Red Bull box during the test drives taking place in the coming weeks. According to initial forecasts, the internal investigations against him will continue for some time. Until then, the racing team apparently wants to stick to the current personnel constellation.

In a statement late last week, the team said it would be “inappropriate” to comment on the issue while the investigation is ongoing.
