Former Spanish football player Jose Ignacio (Jota) Peleterio announced that he is a Muslim with a video published on his social media account.


39-year-old Jota Peleiro, who played for Celta Vigo, Eibar and Alaves in Spain, and Brentford, Birmingham City and Aston Villa in England, announced that he became a Muslim after learning about Islam through his friend of 11 years, former Kuwaiti football player Faisal Buresli.


In the video he published on social media, Peleiro repeated Buresli and recited the Shahadah and became a Muslim.

Speaking to Kuwait’s Al Qabas newspaper, Peleiro said, “I feel very happy and strong. I am in the best period of my life.” said.


Explaining that he did not have dinner at his friend Buresli’s house last night and that his Kuwaiti friend’s mother prepared a cake for him and wrote “Welcome to Islam” on it, Peleiro stated that he got to know and love Islam with this family and that he wanted his own family to be the same in the future. .
