In this position, the former player will be responsible for the progression of the greatest talents from the PSV Academy aged 17 to 21 to the main squad. Cocu will set up a talent program that focuses on the club’s top sports philosophy. Guiding hired talent is also part of his duties.

Cocu played for PSV between 1995 and 1998 and between 2004 and 2007 and became champion four times with the Eindhoven team. After ending his professional career, the native of Eindhoven was an assistant coach, interim coach and youth coach at PSV and between 2013 and 2018 he was head coach in Eindhoven. His next coaching adventures at Fenerbahce, Derby County and Vitesse were not a resounding success.
