Football millionaires steal their plane from 80 passengers

By Christopher Buhl

Huge extra sausage for the football millionaires of Sevilla FC!

After the 1-1 draw in the away game at Celta Vigo on Saturday evening, the professional footballers received a very special flight upgrade – they were simply allowed to board a scheduled airliner for which 80 “normal” passengers were already waiting.

Unbelievable: The passengers were already boarding for their flight

Madrid called out when it was suddenly crossed out on the information boards in front of their eyes. Instead of getting on the Air Nostrum plane themselves, they had to sit back down in the waiting hall, confused – and then suddenly the entire entourage of the Europa League winner marched past them to get on THEIR plane.

As the local newspaper “Faro de Vigo” reports, the “normal passengers” booked for Madrid had already waited 80 minutes for their flight due to bad weather and were not even given an alternative travel option after the incident. Only forms for compensation claims were issued.

The 56 members of the footballer travel group had to switch to another plane due to a technical defect. As the club’s travel partner, Air Nostrum apparently didn’t hesitate for long – and “sacrificed” the other passengers for it.

► On platform We are still at the airport with no word about the theft of the plane by Sevilla FC. Banana Republic.” He also shared a photo of the footballers boarding the plane.

Another quipped: “How do you steal a plane and laugh in the faces of 80 other passengers?” Make sure they are Sevilla FC footballers. Board your non-existent plane. Get out and go have a beer.”

“Unfortunate mistake”

The airline finally made a public statement on Sunday. In a statement it said: “Air Nostrum deeply regrets the disadvantage suffered by the passengers on flight IB8869 from Vigo to Madrid, which is solely due to an unfortunate error on the part of the airline.”

The promise to the stranded passengers: “In the coming week we will contact all passengers to compensate them for the inconvenience caused.”
