Food closed Delhaize donated to Poverty Flanders
The trade unions of Delhaize are also taking action today in various stores, after the announcement by the management that it wants to privatize all stores under its own management. Many shops therefore remain closed. In our province, the shops in Blankenberge, Bruges, Ostend, Roeselare, Ypres and Kortrijk are also closed today. The store in Knokke-Heist is open today, but the unions are looking to close it tomorrow or Saturday.

Delhaize announced on Tuesday the franchising of its 128 stores under its own management. From now on, Delhaize wants to operate these stores via a model of independent retailers. After the announcement, most stores closed their doors after spontaneous actions by the staff. Many shops remained closed yesterday.
