The band has been teasing with new tour dates for days. What about the clues?
The Foo Fighters go on tour again – but it is probably much larger than expected. In May the band announced some concert dates in Japan and Indonesia, but they will probably only be the beginning of somewhat larger.

Tour comeback for the 30th anniversary?
The Foo Fighters have not been traveling live since September 2023, but announced their return with the appointments in Jakarta and Tokyo. The last album but here we are (2023) ended up in 8th place on the Billboard 200 charts and is considered the “most honest and rawest record” of the band. This year the Foo Fighters celebrate their 30th anniversary and celebrated this with the release of their single “Today’s Song”. On September 13 and 15, they also played two surprise concerts in California, and drove the tension sheets into new spheres with regard to further live shows. The concerts in San Luis and Santa Ana also served as a foo fighter premiere for their new drummer Ilan Rubin.
Last week, the Foo Fighters posted a picture on their Instagram account that the feet of the band members show in a circle, including the signature: “Foo Fighters gather!”. They referred to fans to check the newsletter regularly, because there is information that “nobody wants to miss”.
Dave Grohl teasert more dates
“Stay Tuned! There is more,” says another message that the band released on September 16. And as promised, a video appeared in which front man and founder Dave Grohl announced that the Foo Fighters would come back to bring their fans “the 100 % real, raw, human element of rock ‘n’ roll”. The 70-second video generally looks like a well-staged gag: there the other band members speak their lines in the camera as in an insurance commercial, while individual parts of the body are changed by generative AI. For example, the former Nine-Inch-Nails drummer Ilan Rubin has a total of ten arms, the guitarist Pat Smear received a third leg and Nate Mendel index finger wraps himself around the neck of his bass in an extremely surreal way.
In fact, further appointments are not officially confirmed, but in view of the Foo Fighters’ teaser marathon, fans can almost certainly assume that it will not take long.
