Floor Jansen replaces metal band as supporting act for Metallica

A great honor for Floor Jansen. She will perform in the Johan Cruijff Arena on Saturday as the support act for the American metal band Metallica. Concert organizer MOJO announced this on Monday. Jansen was called up last minute because the American metal band Five Finger Death Punch dropped out ‘due to unforeseen circumstances’.

In a reaction on her Twitter, the singer from Goirle says that she is looking forward to it: “I can’t believe it. What a huge honor to play for more than 50,000 fans in Amsterdam as support act for Metallica. This is incomprehensible . Can’t wait to share my music with the fans and see Metallica perform.”

The American heavy metal band Ice Nine Kills can also be seen in the supporting act on Saturday.

Metallica is one of the greatest metal bands in history. They had hits with ‘Nothing Else Matters’ and ‘Enter Sandman’, among others. Every concert of the M72 world tour is different and also has a different supporting act.

Floor Jansen was best known as the singer of the Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. In the Netherlands, most people know her from the musical duet ‘Phantom of the Opera’ with Henk Poort. Together they participated in the ‘Beste singers’ program in 2019.
