In the derby between Cologne and Leverkusen, the floodlights fail shortly before the break. After an hour, the game is finally followed.
Due to a floodlight breakdown, the derby between the 1st FC Köln and Bayer Leverkusen was canceled in the women’s Bundesliga. At 1-0 for the Cologne team, the game was initially suspended shortly before the break after the floodlights had failed.
Sandra Maria Jessen (1st) had achieved the Blitz lead against her ex-club. The stadium DJ bridged the waiting time for the fans, which were temporarily in the dark in the dark, and the ball children played a little football in the meantime.
When, shortly after 8 p.m. despite repair attempts, a floodlight mast was still dark, the referee Annika Kost finally broke off the game. Now the DFB has to decide on a new setting. “I personally have not yet experienced something like this,” said Bayer coach Roberto Pätzold: “That it is now, we are definitely the happier team that we will probably start again at 0: 0 and 90 minutes.”
