Air traffic in Denmark is again hindered by drones. This is reported by Vluchttracker Flighttradar on X. The airport of Aalborg, which is located in the north of Denmark, has been closed for more than three hours. How many drones were involved and where they came from is not known.

According to a spokesperson for the airport, four flights have experienced nuisance, including a KLM flight. Flighttradar has reported that planes had to move to other airports. A KLM spokesperson informed the ANP news agency that the KLM flight has moved to the airport in Billund.

The Danish National Police has announced that the drones at Aalborg followed a similar pattern with those of a few days earlier, when air traffic at Copenhagen airport for four hours. “We don’t know what their goal is or who is checking them,” the police said. “We also don’t know if these are the same drones that we saw above Copenhagen on Monday.”

The armed forces of Denmark were also affected by the closure, because Aalborg airport is also used as a military basis, according to the police.

Copenhagen and Oslo

In the night from Monday to Tuesday, the airports of Copenhagen in Denmark and the airport of Oslo in Norway for observed drones closed. There are no indications that there is a connection between the two incidents.

The Norwegian Foreign Minister said on Wednesday that no connection has yet been discovered. “We have not yet associated it with a specific country,” said Espen Barth Eide from New York.

European authorities are extra alert after incidents earlier this month, where Russian drones swound the airspace of both Poles and Romania. In addition, several airports in Europe have become target of hackers in the last few days, causing problems in airports in London, Brussels and Berlin with checking in passengers and processing luggage.
