Flemish Parliament approves construction shift: higher compensation for owners of land that are given a new destination

With the construction shift – in a previous life still ‘concrete stop’ – the Flemish government wants to prevent Flanders from becoming completely built up in the long term. In concrete terms, no additional open space may be built on by 2040. The Flemish Parliament has now given the green light for a number of important steps. Groen speaks of “pur sang service politics”.
