Fishing boat stuck off Zandvoort – NH News

The report of the stuck fishing boat came in around 12:45 am. John Dalhuijsen is currently on the beach at Zandvoort. The emergency services are working to free the fishing boat, he says. “Two boats from the rescue brigade are pulling their weight.”

The cutter is now attached to rescue brigade boats with cables. “It’s going well, but very difficult. He was loose for a while, but got stuck again.”

What does not help, according to Dalhuijsen, is that the rescue brigade and the coast guard are busy pulling the fishing vessel free with small rubber boats. A fishing boat has now also arrived to help with the pulling. “The tide will be high around 11 a.m., I expect it will work out then.”

Boat makes water

The KNRM also tried to pull the boat free last night, but that was not successful. In a message on Facebook they also wrote that the boat was taking on water. The KNRM confirms this, but the current condition of the boat is unknown.
