First group of civilians evacuated from steel factory in Mariupol, but 1,000 civilians are still detained: “Some are seriously injured and have gangrene"

A group of civilians – 25 people, including six children under the age of 14 – have been able to leave the besieged steel factory complex in the Ukrainian port city of Mariupol. It is believed that another thousand civilians are hidden in the steel factory, about a hundred of whom are said to have been seriously injured. For example, reports and images have surfaced about “decaying wounds” and gangrene or gangrene.
