A fire broke out in a shed next to a fireworks shop in Orthen street in Den Bosch on Wednesday afternoon. A number of houses in the area were evacuated as a precaution, but the fire did not spread to the fireworks store or the houses.

It is unclear exactly what caused the fire in the barn. The barn is directly connected to a shop where fireworks are sold. The fire brigade therefore responded in a big way.

Precautionary evacuation
As a precaution, houses in the street were also evacuated, but residents were able to return home at the end of the afternoon. The fire brigade extinguished the fire, but demolition work was still underway around five o’clock.

To ensure that the fire is out and no longer smoldering, roof tiles from the shed are demolished, among other things.
