A fire broke out in restaurant Schwarzwald on Markeloseweg between Rijssen and Markelo on Friday evening. The building has been evacuated and the fire brigade is present. The fire was caused by an electric vehicle in the building.
The restaurant was open at the time of the fire, but the building has been evacuated. Several electric vehicles, which are rented out by the restaurant, drove out shortly after the fire broke out. One of the vehicles was also found to be the cause of the fire.
The fire was reported just after 9.30 pm, the fire brigade is present at the catering facility with several vehicles and is working on extinguishing work. A hole has been made in the roof for better access to the fire. The fire brigade checks the construction for possible fire spread. It is still unclear what the possible damage is.
