A fire broke out in the trailer of a truck on the Veense Polder in Veen around three o’clock on Friday night. The trailer was parked there next to the road.
Extinguishing the trailer proved difficult for the fire brigade, because the fire had spread in the trailer. To completely extinguish the flames, the fire brigade had to saw holes in the side of the trailer.
How the fire could have started is being investigated. The police have not ruled out arson. No one was injured in the fire.
