The fire is accompanied by a heavy smoke development. Various fire brigade teams, including from Lendelede and Harelbeke, are on site to get the fire under control. The situation was complex, but the fire brigade can now extinguish in a targeted manner.
The warehouse is located next to a few apartments. Those adjacent buildings were immediately checked for the presence of residents. According to Bonte Vanraes, nobody was present at the time of the fire.
Bonte Vanraes reports that the warehouse may have been completely destroyed. The surrounding homes can increase smoke and water damage.
