A house on the Verlengde Oosterdiep Oostzijde in Barger-Compascuum was seriously damaged by fire last night.
Around three o’clock the fire brigade received a report of a raging fire. According to a spokesperson for the Drenthe Safety Region, there was no one left in the building.
Several fire brigades fought the fire. The cause is not yet known.
