The explosives that caused enormous havoc at a café in Breda during the night from Friday to Saturday caused not one, but two enormous explosions. This can be seen in images that are circulating.
Just after four o’clock at night something went wrong at Café Boerke Verschuren on the Ginnekenmarkt in Breda. Images show how explosives cause a huge explosion. A few seconds later there is a second bang.
‘Not a criminal gang’
The impact shattered windows of the entertainment venue, but also windows of other buildings in the street. A small fire also started behind the front door of the building. No one was injured.
The owner of the business, Johan de Vos, is not afraid that his café will have to close after the explosions: “I am a simple pub owner, I see no reason for that. This is also one of the most chic neighborhoods in Breda. So certainly not criminal gang.”
