The Championship of the SM League has been heated outside the rink.
In betting, favorite teams are usually “expensive” teams for bookmakers. The situation in the league is currently the opposite, and Veikkaus’ office has to squeeze their hands crossed so that the season’s megayrier SaiPa does not take Canada.
Raimo Helminen SaiPa, who had moved to coaching this season, was ranked as the second most likely winner of the league before the start of the season. At best, the team’s possible championship was 300.00. Only HPK was offered just as plush.

HIFK and Pelicans would also have been heavily defeated masters for Veikkaus.
