Fine for PSV after fireworks were set off in the Philips Stadium

PSV has been fined 10,250 euros because supporters had set off fireworks. That happened on January 7 in the league match in Eindhoven against Sparta Rotterdam (0-0).

PSV also received a hefty warning: If something like this happens again within two years, the club will have to play a home match without an audience.

In addition to the fine and the suspended sentence, the club must draw up a plan of action to prevent disturbances in the future.

PSV will receive these penalties, while the club is still awaiting a penalty from UEFA. It is coming because a man (20) from Roermond stormed the field and attacked the keeper during the match against Sevilla.

The man had entered, despite a stadium ban. He was quickly overpowered and taken away. There is a good chance that the European football association UEFA will give the people of Eindhoven a hefty punishment.
