New month, new streaming offer on Amazon Prime Video. In February, the provider will once again include a number of new series and many new films in its program. TECHBOOK reveals what’s new to see.
Amazon is one of the largest video streaming providers out there. Prime customers of the online retailer can not only use free premium shipping for EUR 89.90 per year or EUR 8.99 per month (then can be canceled monthly), they also have two streaming services, Amazon Prime Music and Amazon Prime Video to disposal.
So that Amazon Prime Video can keep up with competitors like Netflix and Disney+, the provider expands the selection of series and films every month. The company also produces its own content under the Amazon Originals name. TECHBOOK reveals which new films and series Amazon Prime Video customers can look forward to in February 2023. It should be noted, however, that the offer can be expanded by Amazon at any time.
New series and seasons on Amazon Prime Video in February
Carnival Row (Season 2) – from February 17th
Fans had to wait a long time for the second season of “Carnival Row”. In February the time has finally come and the sequel to the fantasy series is coming to Amazon Prime Video. However, Season 2 will also be the last; So we can look forward to what will hopefully be an epic finale! Ex-cop Philo (Orlando Bloom) is called upon again to help with a case, while Vignette (Cara Delavigne) seeks revenge for the oppression of the fairies.
Star Trek Picard (Season 3) – Coming February 17th
With “Star Trek Picard” season 3, another big series is coming to an end. While the season will start on Paramount+ in the US, the episodes in Germany will again be shown on Amazon Prime Video. In the series finale, Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) now faces a new enemy, the mysterious Vadic.
The Consultant (Season 1) – out February 24
In this new series, acting legend Christoph Waltz plays a windy consultant tasked with getting a game studio back on track. The series is produced by Matt Shakman, who was involved in the hit series WandaVision, The Boys and Game of Thrones, among others.
Iceland (Season 1) – from February 27th
The Korean series “Island” combines fantasy with horror and a pinch of humor. When the spoiled Mi Ho is sent to Jeju Island to get better, she has no idea that dark forces are slumbering there. With their arrival, an ancient circle is ultimately closed.
