A 68-year-old man punched an officer at a campsite near Baarle-Nassau on Monday morning. That blow was preceded by a fight between several people at the campsite.
A bystander called the police around a quarter past nine on Monday morning and said there was a fight at the campsite and that the police had to come quickly.
When the officers arrived at the campsite, there appeared to be a conflict between several people. Officers tried to calm them down, but one of them was then beaten.
A 68-year-old man from Rijsbergen has been arrested for hitting the officer. He was taken to the station. No further injuries were reported in the brawl.
