Con the fifth episode of X Factor 2025 the last appointment has ended with bootcamps of the Sky Original music show produced by Fremantle. The mosaic of possible talents has begun to take shape: they are all good, correct and willing but the pure talents are very few. Fortunately, some happy exceptions: Piercesare Beans (which rightly takes Francesco Gabbani’s X Pass), Alessandro Tomasi, Layana Oriot, Abat-Jour and Nelav. Few disagreements and no arguments between the members of the jury, who oscillated between boredom and sincere emotion. Giorgia is increasingly better at leading: kind, affectionate, precise like a true hostess. The programme, broadcast every Thursday evening at 9.15pm on Sky Uno, is also available on demand on Sky Go And every Tuesday next, in clear, at 9.30pm on TV8.

In the performances there was a high percentage of Italian songs (Madame, Luca Barbarossa, Luca Carboni, Mango) with very intimate performances, even too much so. The impression is that there is very afraid to experiment. It lacks a certain originality and musical personality as well as the unreleased ones: childish lyrics and a flat sound.

Despite some funny skits between Jake La Furia and Francesco Gabbani (this time without jokes) on the usefulness of technical questions, judged by the rapper to be too boring and useless, the jury showed no signs of tension. When’s a healthy fight? The Last Call phase begins on October 16th: the talents will be divided into 4 teams and then chosen with the perverse mechanism of chairs. Each judge will have 3 choices available.

Alessandro Tomasi at “X Factor 2025” (Bettoja/Sky)

Kindergarten e Message in a bottle: rating 6/7; Francesca Carbonelli e Voice: vote 6

Francesca’s performance was excellent with Madame’s piece but for the jurors there isn’t enough personality in her. I didn’t like the Kindergartensbut they witnessed one of the few but amusing squabbles between the judges. When Gabbani wanted to ask a “technical” question, Jake rolled his eyes and shouted: “Sir, take me now!”. The colleague’s response was lightning fast: “take it but please don’t ask him technical questions!”.

Diego Colombo and the unpublished Zota: vote 6

A song dedicated to his grandmother, who is no longer with us, interpreted with great feeling but an immature and not very incisive text. This was enough to convince the jury.

X Factor 2025: Layana Oriot e The Greatest by Billie Eilish rating: 8

With that voice and a magnetic stage presence, it will be very difficult for Layana not to make it to the final stage Of X Factor 2025.

Francesco Di Fiore and Go home by Måneskin rating: 6/7

18 years old, excellent voice, excellent interpretation: for Francesco 4 yes.
