In Bruges there were members of the Fietsersbond at the intersection of the Milesesteenweg with the Fortuinstraat and Schaakstraat. Not coincidentally:
“During the past year we received various reports on this cycle path. Complaints about cars parked half on the cycle path, draw on the cycle path and stabbed pieces of cycle path through tree roots. Time to tackle this definitively, also on the other regional roads,” says Geert Demeyere.
The Fietsersbond called on this morning at the same time to integrate square greenery at the intersection, so that cyclists can safely thwart this intersection. With square green, car traffic has red in all directions, while bicycle traffic has green light in all directions.
