Is there a spectacular change in Formula 1? Ferrari apparently advertises the successful team boss of his main competitor.
Ferrari has apparently tried to recruit Christian Horner, the long -time team boss of Red Bull Racing. At least that reports the “Bild” newspaper. Accordingly, the Scuderia asked Horner a few weeks ago whether a change from the team leader was possible. The background is the current challenges at Ferrari who triggered dissatisfaction with the group bosses. It crises at the renowned racing team.
Despite a second place by Charles Leclerc in Monaco and a solid performance by Lewis Hamilton in Imola, the performance of the Ferrari cars remains unstable. The World Cup titles have already moved far away in both the driver and the designation rating after only eight out of 24 driven Grands Prix.
A change from Horner to Ferrari still appears unrealistic. The report continues that Horner Red Bull does not want to leave. The Briton could not imagine working for another team. He rejected a similar offer from the Italians several years ago.
The discussion about a possible exit of Horner takes place against the background of his impressive success story with Red Bull. He has been working as a team boss there since 2005 and led the team to 14 world championship titles (eight driver, six designer triumphs). These successes regularly arouse desires of other race stables. But as it seems, Horner remains loyal to his current employer.
