Fenerbahçe Medicana beat its host Galatasaray Daikin 3-2 in the derby in the 6th week of the Volleyball Vodafone Sultans League.
With this result, the undefeated yellow-dark blue team made it 6 out of 6 in the league. The yellow-red team suffered its second defeat this season.
Although Fenerbahçe Medicana came back from 16-11 in the neck-and-neck first set and gained a 4-point advantage (23-19), Galatasaray Daikin did not give up the fight. Recovering with Vargas’ effective play, the yellow-dark blue team finished the set ahead 27-25 and made the score 1-0.
In the second set of the derby, Galatasaray played a superior game. The yellow-reds won this set 25-22 and brought the score to 1-1.
