Fendi launches swimwear capsule and hits the beach

To ring in the summer, Fendi has launched a swimwear capsule.

The astrology-inspired collection is based on archive designs from the spring 1990 and 1993 collections. The designs, once created by Karl Lagerfeld, meet the sportswear influences introduced by creative director Kim Jones, the Italian fashion house announced.

To celebrate the revival and the upcoming summer season, the fashion house looks to Spain. Fendi has both a temporary retail space in Ibiza and at the Puente Romano Resort, a five star hotel in Marbella. The brand moves into the “Chiringuito”, a public area of the resort, where several restaurants and beach bars are located.

The area on the Costa del Sol was wrapped by Fendi in the colors typical of the Italian fashion house. In addition, individual details of the capsule collection, such as a red and white color scheme and various zodiac accents are reflected in the decoration. The beach has also been conquered by the brand, with Fendi designing beach loungers and cabanas for resort guests. They can also use water sports equipment and sailing boats provided by the brand.

New boutique in Puerto Banus

Should hotel guests need a break from the sun or want to change their clothes, Fendi can help with that too. The Italian fashion house not only opened a pop-up in Ibiza, but also a permanent space in Puerto Banus. On 403 square meters, Fendi presents the latest women’s and men’s fashion on three floors.

The interior design of the Spanish boutique is reminiscent of the Roman home of the brand and its creative origins. Roman architecture meets a sketch by Karl Lagerfeld that adorns the pattern of the ceilings. The Spanish culture was also considered in the design, so the VIP area is characterized by flamenco dancing.
