At the next step Favaretto won 15-12 over the Austrian Wohlgemuth, while Sinigalia defeated the German Sauer 15-9. In the round of 16, the policewoman beat the French Ranvier 15-6 while the policewoman won the derby with Francesca Palumbo 15-7. Lots of Italy in the quarter-finals.
