Ski-star suffered complicated fractions when falling

In the past season, Federica Brignone was the best ski racer. But now Italian skiing is worried about his superstar: the 34-year-old was seriously injured in a fall-and is a long time.
Brignone fell down at the national championships in the giant slalom, overturned and contracted a complex fracture in the left knee. According to the Italian Winter Sports Association FISI, both the shin leg and the fibula head were broken several times. The diagnosis was made after computer tomography in Trento.
Brignone, world champion and overall World Cup winner, is to be brought to Milan for further treatment, where surgery is planned.
The injury hits her particularly bitterly: With the Olympic Winter Games 2026 in her home country of Italy, a sporting highlight is imminent – your participation in the major event in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo now seems at least questionable. The winter games take place from February 6th to 22nd, 2026.
