FC Volendam rents Oristanio again from Inter; Italian into the Eredivisie

Gaetano Oristanio will also wear FC Volendam’s orange in the Eredivisie. The 19-year-old Italian will again be hired from Inter for one season. Oristanio is the second reinforcement for the new season after Filip Stankovic, who is also hired again.

Last season Oristanio made 35 appearances for FC Volendam. The international of Young Italy scored seven hits and thus played an important part in the promotion of Wim Jonk’s team to the Eredivisie.

“I am very happy that I got to know the club, the team, the staff and the management,” says Oristanio on the FC Volendam club site. “I will do my utmost for the team and for the fans. I can’t wait to play in the Eredivisie.”

Level up

Technical director Jasper van Leeuwen of FC Volendam is satisfied with the extended stay of the talented Italian. “It was logical for Inter, for FC Volendam and for Gaetano itself to extend this collaboration. At times the class is already dripping from it and we are convinced that it will reach an even higher level in this second year. He is now fully used to and integrated into the team and that naturally helps to be able to perform consistently at Eredivisie level,” said Van Leeuwen.

Tonight FC Volendam will play a practice match against NAC Breda at 7 p.m. The match will be played at the RKVV JEKA complex in Breda.
