According to media reports, coach Fabian Hürzeler is about to extend his contract with second division leaders FC St. Pauli.
The negotiations, which have been going on for months, are about to be concluded, the pay-TV channel Sky, the “Hamburger Abendblatt” and the “kicker” all reported.
The final details still need to be clarified, but an announcement of the conclusion of the contract is expected this week.
According to “Kicker” information, the new contract should not contain an exit clause – not even in the event that Pauli misses promotion this season. The 31-year-old Hürzeler’s current contract with the Kiez club expires at the end of June. He took over the team at the end of 2022 and transformed it from a relegation candidate to a promotion candidate.
