The cup match FC Den Bosch – ADO Den Haag was stopped on Tuesday evening after supporters entered the field. The riot police came onto the field with dogs to get the supporters back into the stands. After almost an hour and a half, the match was restarted at a score of 2-3. This was only possible after the ADO supporters were forced to leave the stadium. After extra time and penalties, FC Den Bosch won, more than four hours after the match had started.
After ADO Den Haag took a 2-3 lead via a penalty, fans of that club broke through the fence at the away section. This was followed by a response from the FC Den Bosch supporters on the M-Side. A few entered the field and headed towards the broken fence.
After this, fireworks were thrown back and forth and there was a skirmish between stewards and fans. Within a few minutes the riot police were on the field, including dogs, after which peace returned.
A steward from FC Den Bosch was bitten on his right hand by a police dog during the disturbances.

Until the disturbances, ADO was the parent team. Thijs van Leeuwen scored both goals from Den Bosch. After the restart, without supporters from The Hague, the match picture changed completely. FC Den Bosch was dominant and Kevin Monzialo put the 3-3 on the scoreboard. So an extension was needed to determine a winner.
No goals were scored in that extra. And so the teams started a penalty series at a quarter to eleven (!), four hours after the starting signal. The first pin was missed by both teams and the same thing happened with penalty number three. After a lot of penalties for the two teams, it was ultimately 18-year-old Rafi Wolters who scored the winning one for FC Den Bosch.
Helmond Sport was eliminated by premier league team PEC Zwolle (1-4). TOP Oss will continue to convert. That team defeated the amateurs of HHC Hardenberg (0-2). The amateurs of Gemert lost honorably to Eredivisie club Fortuna Sittard (0-1).
