FC Den Bosch and Jong Ajax play a draw in a goal-rich match: 4-4

FC Den Bosch has been able to give a good follow-up to the victories over NAC Breda and De Graafschap. At De Toekomst, coach Jack de Gier’s team managed to clear a two-goal deficit against Jong Ajax twice: 4-4.

FC Den Bosch had to do without its supporters, a measure taken by the club’s board after previous disturbances.

The fans who couldn’t be there missed a spectacular match with no fewer than eight goals. Christian Rasmussen opened the score after more than fifteen minutes of play, after which Kian Fitz-Jim made it 2-0 in the 35th minute after a solo and weak intervention by the Bossche keeper Wouter van den Steen. Steven van der Heijden then scored the tying goal, but it was rejected due to offside. Via Nikolaj Möller it became 1-2 before the break.

After the break, the lead of the Amsterdam-squad was doubled again, by Silvano Vos. FC Den Bosch continued to defend itself bravely and Teun van Grunsven made it 2-3. Less than 6 minutes later, the team from Den Bosch again faced a two-hit deficit due to (again) Rasmussen.

Olivier Aertssen brought back the tension with an unfortunate own goal. It meant an extra boost for the number 12 in the ranking and it was the completely detached Möller, who determined the final score at 4-4 with his second goal.

FC Den Bosch will play the last home game of this year against VVV Venlo on Saturday.
