Tarek Buchmann was one of the greatest defense talents in football Germany before a complicated muscle injury forced him to watch for over a year. The youngster fought for his comeback for months. Now Buchmann was on the pitch for the first time in a game under competition conditions.

Buchmann belongs to the squad of the second team of FC Bayern, who played a test game at the Austrian Club First Vienna FC last Saturday.

The game ended 2: 3 from the point of view of the Munich perspective, but Tarek Buchmann will be positively remembered the encounter against the Austrian capital club. The 19-year-old came on in the 71st minute and thus celebrated his comeback after Ellenlang’s break.

Buchmann had already completed parts of team training in the professional squad under head coach Vincent Kompany, but has not yet collected a minute of use under competition conditions.

Buchmann still without use for Bayern professionals

For the fourth-class U23 selection of the Munich, it was now enough to use almost 20 minutes. In this way, the central defender should slowly be introduced to the competition hardness in the Bundesliga.

Buchmann was already on the jump into the professional squad of FC Bayern last year, but was then thrown back with his serious muscle injury. The native of Dillinger has not contested a competitive game at all-neither for the professionals, nor for the U23 team of the German record champions or the U19 selection.

The multiple German junior national player still dreams of still getting his competitive debut at Bayern. Contractively, he is still bound to the leaders of the Bundesliga by summer 2026.
