Dynamic contract ends in 2026

At the World Cup in Qatar, Jamal Musiala became the most conspicuous player in a disappointing German national team. Although the 19-year-old offensive player lacked luck and the last consequence in front of goal, the youngster was able to underpin his 100 million market value on the largest possible football stage. According to “Sport Bild”, his club FC Bayern is therefore considering an early contract extension – although Musiala is still tied to the record champions until 2026.

“Of course, we told his mum Carolin and his management before the World Cup that we were very happy with Jamal and let them know that we wanted to sit down with them after the World Cup to talk about Jamal’s future at Bayern Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic told Sport Bild. In July 2019, Musiala moved from the youth department of Chelsea FC to the Munich U17s for €200,000. At the age of 19 years and 14 days, he became the youngest Bayern player in history with 50 Bundesliga games last March.

According to the magazine, the native of Stuttgart already received a dynamic contract in March 2021, which contains various performance parameters, which is why Musiala is already collecting more than the EUR 5.5 million basic salary negotiated at the time. His salary is currently said to be around 8 million euros a year. By the end of the contract in 2025/26, around 11 million euros are in it, which would correspond to a doubling of the starting salary. With this sum, Musiala would place himself in the middle of the salary structure at FCB. The Bavarians now want to reward their high-flyer with better contract numbers, it is said.
