VfB Stuttgart’s CEO Alexander Wehrle does not see himself in the fight for the whereabouts of Nick Woltemade’s whereabouts as the winner in the duel with FC Bayern Munich. “It’s not about victory or defeat,” said the official on the program “Bild Sport” at the broadcaster “Welt”. “We are about our sporting goals. We want to play a successful season – with Nick Woltemade. We have said that several times now, and I don’t know if we are not believed to be in demand because they are always in demand.”
Even though the Bayern managers should increase their offer by the end of the change period on September 1st, Wehrle states at the VfB point of view. “The file is closed and it remains,” he replied to a question. “Now nothing works.”

Finally, interested and player side with a total package of more than 60 million euros plus resale participation is said to have tried to realize the transfer. But the Swabians blocked and did not want to negotiate.
At the loan of goalkeeper Alexander Nübel (28), VfB was still accommodating – also financially. Wehrle does not believe that the relationships between the two clubs could have suffered from the poker this summer. “I think one has nothing to do with the other,” said the 50-year-old. “We are totally glad that Alex is with us and plays for us this season, and then let’s see what is next summer.”
Shooting star Woltemade, whose contract runs at VfB until 2028 and does not contain no exit clause, would like to switch to the German record champions this summer. The attacker agreed with the Bayern, but the DFB Cup winner rejected all the offers of the Munich. Woltemades consultant Danny Bachmann then publicly criticized the Stuttgart club tour.
