With Italian tenor: FC Bayern presents new stadium anthem

FC Bayern Munich celebrates its 125th anniversary. The club is now given a new hymn from the fans.
FC Bayern Munich officially presented its new stadium anthem. The new hymn was created on the initiative of the fans: “Club No. 12”, the association of fans and the groups of the south curve have planned and organized the project.
The basis for the hymn is therefore also a catch. The text “Always forward FC Bayern – German champion, Munich’s pride. We want to celebrate in every stadium, we fans from FCB. As for over 100 years, it will remain until death: Our club, FC Bayern, in the colors white and red” forms the chorus of the new hymn and is also sung by fans. The recording was taken after the Bundesliga home game against Heidenheim on December 7th. Around 8,000 fans took part.
“This project shows what is possible if an idea meets passion and a community is full of dedication behind it,” says a joint message from the groups involved. “The hymn belongs to all of us. It is the echo of our love for FC Bayern and a sign of our connection to the unique 125-year club history.”
However, the stanzas of the new hymn are particularly surprising. The reason: you are in Italian. They are sung by tenor Jonas Kaufmann, who was also involved in recording with the fans.
The club presents the hymn together with a music video in which concise events from the history of FC Bayern are cut together with the video images.
It is planned that the new hymn will be played at home games at FC Bayern in the future as the last song before entering the teams. For the first time, the song should be heard at the Bundesliga home game against VfL Bochum on March 8.
