Goalkeeper Anna Wellmann returns to German soccer champions Bayern Munich.
The 28-year-old comes from the relegated Turbine Potsdam and signed a contract until 2026.
Wellmann was already active in the second team at FC Bayern from 2016 to 2019.
“She brings a lot of experience and is also of a certain age, which means she can help our goalkeeper team,” said department head Bianca Rech: “That was very important to us because we already have two very young goalkeepers in Mala Grohs and Cecilía Runarsdottir. ” Wellmann has made 32 Bundesliga appearances so far, and Grohs (22) is a regular in the Bayern goal.
