FC Erzgebirge Aue reinforces the attack with Marcel Bär. The 31-year-old comes on a free transfer from TSV 1860 Munich, for whom he scored six goals in 26 appearances last season. In the 2021/22 season, Bär was the top scorer in the 3rd division with 21 goals. The center forward signed a contract with the “Violets” until June 30, 2025.
“Of course it was important to us after the departures to bring in players who could stimulate our offensive game and score goals. Marcel knows exactly where the box is, was top scorer and showed what he can do,” said sporting director Matthias Heidrich. Bär added: “In the talks with those responsible, I had a great feeling from day one. I’m happy to be here and I want to get started. Of course, I’m particularly looking forward to the great fans here in the Ore Mountains.”
