FC Bayern has to do without Raphael Guerreiro for the time being. The Portuguese suffered an injury in the home game against Hamburger SV (5-0), the diagnosis made the Munich known on Monday.

Raphael Guerreiro has suffered a violation of the abdominal muscles, as FC Bayern announced. An investigation was preceded by the medical department of the German record champion.

How long the 31-year-old is missing is unclear. Guerreiro “has to pause for the time being,” said the industry leader.

What is certain is that the Portuguese is missing the Champions League start to its head coach Vincent Kompany against FC Chelsea (Wednesday, 9:00 p.m.) on Wednesday. Three days later (Saturday, 3:30 p.m.), the Munich travelers travel to Sinsheim, where the Bundesliga away game at 1899 Hoffenheim is due.

Next failure at FC Bayern

Raphaël Guerreiro was against the HSV (The highlights are available on RTL+) only replaced at halftime for Dayot Upamecano. Upamecano was already pre -contaminated with yellow, the Münchner already led 4-0 after the first round.

But the former BVB professional had to get off the field after only 17 minutes, for him Tom Bishop came into the game.

The 65-time Portuguese international always has to struggle with injury worries. This is also why Guerreiro has only come to 32 Bundesliga games from the start since his transfer-free moving from Dortmund to Munich in the summer of 2023.

Last season, the flexible all-rounder came on 23 Bundesliga games, 19 times he was in Vincent Kompany’s starting eleven. Guerreiro scores four goals.

The Munich people have to do without the longer injured Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito. Guerreiro is therefore the third left -back who lacks FC Bayern. The actual right -back Josip Stanisic started left against the HSV.
