The German record champions FC Bayern and Deutsche Telekom extend their long -term partnership for decade to the next decade. Before the kick-off of the 63rd Bundesliga season with the home game against RB Leipzig on Friday evening in the Allianz Arena, the continuation of the cooperation was announced by 2032.
Deutsche Telekom, based in Bonn, will be the main and jerseys to pay over 65 million euros per year to the record champions in the future, including the “German Institute for Marketing”, 50 million euros. Only VfL Wolfsburg should receive more than 70 million euros more from main sponsor Volkswagen. The company is therefore a significant sponsorship partner of the highest sales Bundesliga club.
“30 years with Telekom, I can only thank you for the commitment,” said club president and head of the supervisory board. “If I could wish for something, we also have a marriage beyond 2032,” added CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen. The partnership started for the 2002/03 season. “You can’t separate good friends. The t will be on the jerseys for seven more years,” commented Rodrigo Diehl, Germany board member of Telekom, the extension. The large media reach of FC Bayern counts for the company, as Senior Vice President Michael Hagspihl noted.
