FC Bayern: Alphonso Davies’ advisor stops contract talks due to uncertainty

Talks about “chaotic time”

The releases of sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and board boss Oliver Kahn at Bayern have apparently caused initial uncertainty on the player side. Alphonso Davies’ advisor Nedal Huoseh from the agency ATG Sports would like to postpone the originally planned expansion of the cooperation beyond 2025. Everything had already been set in motion between the agent and the previous Bayern management.

“It’s a chaotic time at Bayern Munich. I’m not sure what’s going on and who we’re going to be dealing with. There seems to be too much instability and uncertainty as to the direction of the club,” Huoseh told the “Picture”. 22-year-old Davies is reportedly being courted by Real Madrid, Manchester City and Manchester United. So far, however, an extension in Munich seemed to be the top priority. “Perhaps it is better if we wait until 2024 and see how things develop with the club before moving on to a new contract,” the agent said.

As Honorary President Uli Hoeneß explained to “Kicker”, FC Bayern wanted to take its time when looking for a new sports director. The new manager should be found by Christmas at the latest, they say. There is no specific profile yet. In the summer transfer period, the Hoeneß quartet, Chairman of the Supervisory Board Herbert Hainer, the new CEO or Kahn successor Jan-Christian Dreesen and ex-boss Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who is to move up to the Supervisory Board, will take over squad planning – in close coordination with the coach Thomas Tuchel. According to media reports, the former Technical Director Michael Reschke could be a short-term solution.
