FC Barcelona has to do without midfielder Gavi for a long time. The 21-year-old, who had already lacked a meniscus injury in the last four games, fails for four to five months after a necessary operation.
Gavi had only come from a long injury break last season after he torn the cruciate ligament in November 2023. This season he was on the field in the first two league games. Now he lacks Barcelona into the new year and, among other things, misses the Champions League games against defending champion Paris Saint-Germain (October 1) and Eintracht Frankfurt (December 9).
