A classic from the RS archive: In a new interview, Quentin Tarantino commented on the fate of one of his crazy characters from “Pulp Fiction”: the GIMP.

On the occasion of an interview with “Empire”answered the director Fan questions about his films, including, of course, to his classic “Pulp Fiction” from 1994. A question that many have been burning under the nails for 26 years is: What ultimately became of the GIMP, the poor leather-bearing guy, which is captured in a box in the film as a bondage sex slave? According to Tarantino, this is not said to have ended a good end: “In my imagination, at least in the when I wrote on the script, the Gimp was dead. Butch hit him Ko, and in his fainting he hanged himself. As far as his background story is concerned, he was a kind of hitchhiking – or someone who took her seven years ago and trained to be the perfect victim.”

May Gimps Fate be relatively depressing, Tarantino still had a funny anecdote ready to compensate. Comedian Jon Lovitz is said to have known the actor Stephen Hibbert, who was under the Gimp costume, from another film project and was very disturbed by his participation in the film. Tarantino was extremely amused by this coincidence:“I heard something funny from Jon Lovitz, who knew Stephen Hibbert, the guy who played the Gimp, from ‘The Groundlings’. When Jon sees ‘pulp fiction’ for the first time, he asks himself: ‘What the devil is that?’ He sits in the cinema while the credits are roling and suddenly sees Stephen’s name.

Bruce Willis is ill

The reason for the absence of Willis is dementia. After the actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, he retired from the public in 2022. The disease manifests itself through difficult language and motor skills, as well as changes in behavior and personality. The self -knowledge of a person can also be restricted because the disease affects the brain’s frontal lobes.

In the “Today” show, his wife Hemin Willis told: “It is difficult for the person who was diagnosed. It is also difficult for the family. And that is no different for Bruce, for me and for our girls. If they say that this is a family disease, it is really the case.”

The sick actor was represented at the anniversary event by his wife Hemin Willis and the daughter Talluah. “There are so many beautiful things that happen in our lives,” said his wife as early as 2023 in the “Today” show. “It is really important for me to turn away from the grief and see what is happening around us. Bruce would really want us to be happy about what is. He would like that for me and our family,” she adds. The 30-year-old daughter Talluah is also an actress. She accompanied her mother to the event. In honor of her father, she wore a cap with the lettering “Bruce”.
