The General Farmers’ Syndicate (ABS) announces blockades from 11 am at three locations: the roundabout in Wommelgem, the Turbo roundabout in Ghent and the roundabout above the A11 in Zeebrugge. With the action, farmers protest against the trade agreement between the European Union and the South American Mercosur bloc (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia). The activists want to continue their blockades until after the evening rush hour.
