Farmer Ronny (67) holds a stand in fight against Knokke-Heist on his grounds: "We will consider any further steps"

A judge in appeal has given farmer Ronny van Belleghem (67) the same in his legal fight against the expropriation of his land by the municipality of Knokke-Heist. At that location, the city council wants to realize part of the city edge forest – in addition to the future second golf course of Paul Gheysens if that comes effective – but has been encountering Ronny’s resistance for almost two years. “We are now going to consider any further possible steps,” said Mayor Cathy Coudyser (insight). Although the issue does not seem to have a direct influence on Ghelamco’s plans for the golf course.
