Farewell? Mathys Tel makes decisions about the future

Despite positive developments this season, Mathys Tel is unable to progress beyond the joker role at FC Bayern. That’s why there are always rumors of transfers surrounding the young French striker. Now the 18-year-old is said to have made a decision for the future.

In just 545 competitive game minutes, Mathys Tel has already collected nine scorer points in 2023/2024 (six goals, three assists). Nevertheless, the attacker mostly just sits on the bench and there is no getting past new signing Harry Kane (yet).

Does that mean Tel flees Munich in the winter? Numerous top clubs at home and abroad are said to be interested in loaning the exceptional talent. His contract with FC Bayern is valid until 2027.

As transfer expert Florian Plettenberg reports, Tel has now made a decision. And this should make his superiors happy: According to “Sky” information, the France U21 national player wants to finish the season with the German industry leader.

A possible buyer for the return series was reportedly Manchester United, but the Red Devils had “no chance,” it is said. Arsenal FC, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United were also said to be interested.

FC Bayern: Tel wants to learn from Kane

Tel is said to have made the plan to learn from teammate and world-class goalgetter Kane. The captain of the Three Lions hit FC Bayern like a bomb.

In addition, he is confident that he will soon be able to play more under coach Thomas Tuchel. Tel identifies one hundred percent with the club, which paid a transfer fee of 20 million euros for him in 2022.

“I’m not frustrated with my playing time, but I’m working on getting a regular place in the future,” the teenager recently explained at a press conference: “At the moment I have the status of a noble joker. But in the long term that’s not what I want.”
