Visitors, staff and art lovers said goodbye to the building that was once a department store. Dear Malfroot is the oldest guide of Mu.zee: “It’s a bit nostalgic. It is an end point for me. I have had good times here and I have always enjoyed doing it.”
A farewell yes, but today not Tristesse, because everyone is looking forward to a new future. And it will be a farewell in style, with an artistic experience.
It was a special opportunity. “For the first time in three months there are people in our building again. We are just a museum where people can enter. It will take some getting used to the new period in which we will do our thing at other locations. We will have to let go of this building for three years,” says curator Stefan Huygebaert.
