Fantasy football: Top and Flop of the 29th round of Serie A

Passed and rejected on the last day characterized by a meager tally of goals. Here are the best and the worst

March 15
– Milan

The twenty-ninth day ended with Lazio’s narrow victory over Venice. A success that allows Sarri’s team to overtake Rome and Atalanta, held back by Udinese and Genoa, and hoist themselves into fifth position waiting for next week’s derby. There are just 20 goals on the scoresheet. The trend of the last few days, namely that of a meager tally of goals scored per matchday, is confirming itself. Let’s go and see the best (and also the worst) of this last round of the championship.

TOP11

Difficult to decree the best player on the pitch today. The palm of the protagonists of this last round is competing for it, in fact, in two. Morata (rating 7.5 – 25 million) and Osimhen (rating 7.5 – 30 million) with their braces allow Juventus and Napoli to win against Sampdoria and Verona. Important goals for the two forwards who are experiencing a good moment of form after a not-so-convincing first round. Szczesny (rating 7.5 – 25 million) is confirmed as an excellent penalty-keeper: it is the twelfth penalty for the Polish goalkeeper in Serie A, the third in a row, the twenty-fourth in his career.

Defense of goalscorer. Molina (rating 7.5 – 18 million) and Bremer (rating 7.5 – 22 million) confirm themselves as ‘top players’: to the great defensive contribution they also add other goals to their already excellent haul (five seals for the bianconero this season , three for the grenade). The surprises are the goals from Erlic (vote 7 – 13 million) and Kalulu (vote 7 – 10 million), decisive to unlock the respective matches won by Spezia and Milan.

Back to the goal captain Pellegrini (vote 6 – 27 million) who saves Rome at the last minute by mocking Silvestri from eleven meters. Dominant, in the median, Torreira (vote 7 – 18 million) and Mandragora (vote 7.5 – 15 million): the first also signs the goal of the victory in the Apennine derby, the second cancels Barella and Calhanoglu, not exactly the last arrived. Finally, a great period also for Traorè (vote 7 – 19 million) who jokes Veseli and scores a beautiful goal in the daring match against Salernitana.

FLOP11

Not just goals and author plays. Several penalties also marked this day of fantasy football, especially many expulsions: four. The consequences are paid by Ceccherini (vote 4 – 10 million), Bonifazi (vote 4 – 7 million), Raspadori (vote 4 – 27 million) and Faraoni who, however, have the merit of scoring the goal that almost deceives Verona in the match lost by measure against Napoli. Complicated day at Sampdoria for veterans Yoshida (vote 5 – 16 million) and Candreva (vote 5 – 27 million): the Japanese unblocked the match against Juventus with an own goal in an attempt to anticipate the Juventus strikers; the expert Italian midfielder, on the other hand, is hypnotized by an inexhaustible Szczesny.

Performance not up to par even for Veseli (4.5 – 3 million mark), circumnavigated several times by the neroverdi jerseys: the Albanian allows Traorè to do good and bad weather. Once again, Joao Pedro disappoints (vote 5 – 28 million), without goals for a long, long time now: a goal scored by the Italian-Brazilian in the last thirteen days. Pasalic (vote 5 – 30 million) fails the big target, wasting a sensational opportunity face to face with Sirigu.

Sottil (rating 4.5 – 16 million) is off and fails to affect the Apennine derby despite the chance as a starter. Finally, Inter are struggling against Turin. Handanovic (5.5 – 22 million) and Vecino (vote 5 – 12 million) do not shine in the ranks of the Nerazzurri, surprised by the aggressiveness and great competitive spirit of the team coached by Juric.
