Family of missing Hebe (10) thanks everyone for statements of support

The family of the 10-year-old girl Hebe from Vught, who has been missing since Monday evening together with her 26-year-old supervisor, thanks everyone for the statements of support they have received. The family makes this known in a press statement via the organization On behalf of the Family.

The family also reports in the statement that Hebe and her supervisor Sanne have a ‘special bond’. “The family hopes they will be found together soon,” the statement said. “Hebe has severe multiple disabilities and needs care every moment of the day. We want nothing more than to have her back in our arms.”

At the end of Monday afternoon, Hebe was picked up in Raamsdonksveer by Sanne, who would take her home. They departed from Sint Theresiastraat in a black Kia Picanto with registration number PR-425-K. The missing pair would have been last seen on the A59 near Waspik.

“The police are still busy with the search. We prefer not to speculate about what may have happened until we have more information. The police are leading the investigation and we are working closely with her,” the family said in the statement. The family also asks that her privacy be respected. The police have been searching since 2.30 pm on Tuesday, together with about 120 volunteers from the Veterans Search Team in Waspik, including with a sonar boat.
